How to Start a Fire

The sunrise is a flame

Kindled by my burning past

And I say good riddance

As I rebuild from the ash

I’ll build a new today

As I’ve always done

I’ll misstep, somehow

And add it to the sun

And when you make a mistake

Your weary arms will tire

But when you’re ready to let go

I’ll teach you how to start a fire
